From me and my team it has been a Dream.
This years Fairy days have been so filled with smiles and positive feedback that it makes all the time and effort worthwhile.I have so many people to Thank who continue to support me and reassure me when skies are grey and they are right because everything is always great on the day.You the public make that happen by attending and supporting local traders and bringing along your own imagination.
It does however lead me to Thank Bernadette and Johnathon from Highhead for allowing us to return year after year flying around their valley where it all began.Unfortunately we will no longer be flying around the Valley sprinkling sparkles everywhere however our main Cumbrian Fairy Day will continue and info will be made available soon for you all.
So we started in May with our Super Sunny day in the stunning location of Kirklinton Hall and Gardens .Here the children got to make flower crown ,decorate unicorns and dragons along with dragon adoption.Pixie creations brought along their maypole and music makers ran some amazing workshops.Dancing on the lawn with Maddison entertainment was joined by Jason the Juggling jester. Many took time out to wander through the glen in search of the resident fairies and fairy shopping was enjoyed by all.
Our Main Cumbrian Fairy Day was bursting with Magic and an array of activities to take part in for free lets make next years just as Sparkly. From squirting paint to banging on drums boys and girls were glowing with smiles, their minds full of imagination as they joined the fairies to decorate toadstolls and visted the Gnome Zone to meet our chief elf.The day was finished with a super parade of colour, music and fairy dust.
The Lovely people flew in again this year to create those Magical Memories that will last a lifetime.I truly believe by encouraging children's imagination and creativity is truly beneficial to their life.By believing in fairies you are believing in yourself.
Our Fairy Days began at Kirklinton Hall with our floral May Fairy Day making flower crowns, adopting dragons and dancing on the lawn. Not forgetting the wander through the woods in search of fairies.
Our main Fairy Day in the stunning Valley where over 50 % of visitors had returned every year for 5 years, new for this year was our Gnome Zone with many gnomes adopted and taken home.
Last week saw us flying back to The Manor at Morton aving been invited off Iris Rogan from Friends of Chances park. The weather was kind to us and the drums were banged. The array of activities on offer was fantastic and the colours around the park were stunning.
I want to Thank all traders,Entertainers,Venues and wonderful visitors for supporting these Magical Days.
We done it despite the poor weather forecast memories were made at Saturdays Cumbrian Fairy Day.Huge Thanks go to the owners of the valley, the helpers, traders and of course visitors.
You wore your wings and fancy wear and wow what a day.Taking part in activities, visiting the Gnome Zone, pixie painting, fairies sprinkling, dancing and bouncing. Not to mention all the lovely things on offer. The feedback has been fantastic and I thank you all for your kind words. One little girl even said it was the best day ever and she did not want it to end.

It has been a few days now since the last of the 5 Fairy Days we had to celebrate 5 years of Cumbrian Fairy Day.
I have had time to reflect and discuss the events with friends and family. Without the FREE help of friends and family these events would cost and awful lot more than they do already to put on.
Those people who come along offering their time and skills for free is what helps to create the Magical Atmosphere.
However these wonderful people can not and should not be expected to do it 5 times a year for free. Therefore I have made the decision to run the one annual main event as usual, within Highhead Valley, but I am also willing to attend further events myself.
I set out this year to celebrate 5 years of Cumbrian Fairy Day in a way I only dreamed could happen. My plan was to take Fairy Day to 5 different locations each with there own unique feel and theme and boy what a dream. It has been challenging and I have learned a lot along the way but wow we have truly had a fairytastical time at them all.
The Challenge began in May when we visited Kirklinton hall a rather cold and windy day but it didn't stop us having a Magical Time .The Children got to meet Rapunzel a Good Knight and many many fairies from near and far.Traders came and activities were provided.
The next was to be our Big Annual Fairy Day in the Magical Valley at Highhead quickly followed by Manor Fairy day during July.
August seen us fly to the seaside and today finally we landed at the farm.
The Sunshine Fairy has attended them all and i wish to thank all of those who have been a part of this memorable adventure from the bottom of my hear I thank you and wish a Magical remainder of 2015.
Sun 9th August was our 4th Fairy Day of the year as part of celebrating 5 years of Fairy Day and I have to say we certainly did enjoy being beside the Seaside beside the sea.
The weather was good not too hot and stayed dry whilst we searched the woods for the fairy village and met the wonderful Elf and Safety ,who were even teaching us how to fly. Maddison Entertainment provided a disco for us all to dance to ,which also led into a huge conga, pass the parcel and bucket loads of prizes.Within the Magical Mel tent we were offering sparkling activities, sparkle tattoos and face-painting.On offer for all to take part in were free flag decorating, pebble sparkling and the fairy trail.
With over 300 flags decorated and 200 pebbles sparkled we were certainly kept busy throughout the day.
Special guests wandering the green included A Perfect Pirate,Spiderman,Ariel and Peppa along with Magical Mel it was truly amazing to see the amount of people who embraced the Magic and joined in by coming along in costume even the grown ups too.
Laughter and smiles were around all day, traders were happy to meet lots of smiley faces and offer lots of wonderful things for people to see.
Time is flying as we fly towards our 4th Fairy Day of 2015 part of celebrating 5 years of Cumbrian Fairy Day.Will you be joining in the Magic of the day and creating memories that last a lifetime.
So much on offer to see and do,info flies in dairy to the event page on facebook.

Saturday 11th July we celebrated 5 years of Cumbrian Fairy Day at Highhead Sculpture Valley and wow was it fun .My Magical Day began with writing a letter to The fairy Queen and enjoying a cup of coffee from The Sugar Shack.I continued through the gallery where I made my wish at The Wish Tree for an amazing day, treat myself to a stunning necklace from Under the Ivy and decorated a Fairy Cake with Fairy Cakes.By this time i needed a little rest on the amazing carved toadstools situated on the lawn ,before i followed the fairy trail through the fairy village and past the park.Crossing over and through the Enchanted wood I arrived at the disco for a go on the human fruit machine and a dance with Maddison Entertainment.Gave a wave to the wonderful Peppa who attends every year raising money for charity.
I then had to creep past the Dragon Cave so i could purchase some fairy plant pots from Heevis Miniatures. The Creation Station were busy making wands under the toadstool shelter and there was a strange looking fairy hanging around sock Monkeys, with Monkeys of all descriptions a delight to see them swinging of the gazeebo.Time for a bounce with Cracking castles and some chocolate from Fantasweets.Pyjama Drama was in full swing and Super Sarah was surrounded by smiley children.
Time for a qick pixie pee and across the fairy bridge i went with a bang on the drums provided by Ben Sound Sculptures and a tinkle past the Fairy Hair stand where i met Liz from Baby Sensory who offers wonderful classes .A hop skip and a jump upto the hill where The Little Bead Shop gave me a beautiful Fairy Necklace and i got to see the amazing artwork of Raven Wolf.Just Tutu gorgeous took my breath away with their array of things and a story from a real viking made my ears prick up ,amazing to see the boys listening so carefully to his tales.Beautiful sounds and maypole dancing came from Pixie Creations,I even tried to join in.
Down the hill and into Fairyland i went where children were making Wishing jars within the colourful wish room.Next Door the girls were busy sparkling everyone up and to the other side the Valley store where our resident Tooth Fairy could be found (Peggy) she even had real Tooth Fairy Coins. The craft tent was busy with party hat making, butterfly decorating and our Good Knight was on hand to help make sheilds. Fairies.Fairies were enjoying a picnic ,playing with toys and hula hooping. We even made some Fairy Mud which was really really good. The Fire Fairy Freyja and Didi Fairy were being hunted down in the Real Life Fairy Hunt
A visit to Malc Spour tent my wonderful talented artist who created all my fairy images from my imagination.A very excited photographer was hiding in a bush with a huge smile of excitement as Kerry from Imagerry by Kerry captured the moments and memories.Sparkly Moon Dream hugs were then received by the lovely Emms from Moondream Jewellery and even more hugs and smiles from Aggy Mays who provided me with all the stunning Bunting around The Valley.Flying past our Wonderful Elf and Safety man before i got a ticket a managed to flutter in for Jelli Nelli Hugs as she artistically painted children and adults faces. To finish the day a parade was had and it was lovely to be a part of it with all the giggles smiles and laughter. My Fairy helpers were amazing throughout the day,Kids loved seeing the Good Knight ,Pixie and Spiderman from Superlease .Not forgetting I got to finally meet Tink in the woods how cool.
