A magical blog from Magical Mel
We certainly did like to be beside The Seaside
Sun 9th August was our 4th Fairy Day of the year as part of celebrating 5 years of Fairy Day and I have to say we certainly did enjoy being beside the Seaside beside the sea.
The weather was good not too hot and stayed dry whilst we searched the woods for the fairy village and met the wonderful Elf and Safety ,who were even teaching us how to fly. Maddison Entertainment provided a disco for us all to dance to ,which also led into a huge conga, pass the parcel and bucket loads of prizes.Within the Magical Mel tent we were offering sparkling activities, sparkle tattoos and face-painting.On offer for all to take part in were free flag decorating, pebble sparkling and the fairy trail.
With over 300 flags decorated and 200 pebbles sparkled we were certainly kept busy throughout the day.
Special guests wandering the green included A Perfect Pirate,Spiderman,Ariel and Peppa along with Magical Mel it was truly amazing to see the amount of people who embraced the Magic and joined in by coming along in costume even the grown ups too.
Laughter and smiles were around all day, traders were happy to meet lots of smiley faces and offer lots of wonderful things for people to see.
I never got to go on the unicorn ride but enjoyed watching the kids take part in their pirate and fairy wear.
Vicky Hope from The Fairydust Emporium had invited us to the seaside and what a treat it was especially as we ended the day in her beautiful tearoom for cake and coffee.
The Fairydust Emporium can be found on facebook and is open all year round once you've been you will definitely want to return.
Which is just what Vicky wants us to do so watch this space.
I would personally like to thank Vicky for encouraging us to fly through .Many thanks also go to my fab team of helpers, the Elf and flying instructor and Owen for all his hard work helping bring the event together.
A even bigger thank you goes to all those who joined in with the day encouraging the children to believe and engaging their imagination.
Stay Sparkly Silloth we will have a return flight soon.
