I set out this year to celebrate 5 years of Cumbrian Fairy Day in a way I only dreamed could happen. My plan was to take Fairy Day to 5 different locations each with there own unique feel and theme and boy what a dream. It has been challenging and I have learned a lot along the way but wow we have truly had a fairytastical time at them all.
The Challenge began in May when we visited Kirklinton hall a rather cold and windy day but it didn't stop us having a Magical Time .The Children got to meet Rapunzel a Good Knight and many many fairies from near and far.Traders came and activities were provided.
The next was to be our Big Annual Fairy Day in the Magical Valley at Highhead quickly followed by Manor Fairy day during July.
August seen us fly to the seaside and today finally we landed at the farm.
The Sunshine Fairy has attended them all and i wish to thank all of those who have been a part of this memorable adventure from the bottom of my hear I thank you and wish a Magical remainder of 2015.

5 Years ago Magical Mel organised a Fairy Day at Highhead Sculpture Valley ,creating a Magical Day for all of the family. At the time it was to be a one off thing ,however the interest and delight from all who attended the event grew and this year celebrates 5 years.
Instead of making the original Cumbrian Fairy Day grow Magical Mel felt it would be more fun to take Fairy Day to 5 different venues all with different themes.Keeping the main fairy day on the same weekend and same loaction as a huge birthday party. The 5year celebration takes flight this weekend with our first ever May Fairy Day taking place at Kirklinton Hall.Families can take part in a variety of things throughout the day, take in the history of this stunning location and enjoy browsing some fantastic stands. Tickets are flying for all 5 events and Mel wishes all who attend a truly Magical Experience her aim is to create memories that will last a lifetime,to inspire others through imagination and belief.
May Fairy Day is set in the Mystical location of Kirklinton Hall near Longtown. Join us for a family day in your fancy wear. Throughout the day there will be activities and workshops on offer Meet the Fairies and Good Knight, join them in making Fairy Wings and Shield’s. Situated in the stunning Hall you will find many treats on offer from Local traders and Fae from afar. Kirklinton Hall will be providing a bar for those who wish to enjoy a glass of Fizz. Why not take advantage of the transport which is on offer from Big Events Bus. Refreshments on offer from Brampton Community centre and The Sugar Shack, plenty of choice on offer. Adventure into the grounds where you can dance with Maddison Entertainment. Here you will meet many Fairies from afar inc Freyja Flying in from Cottingley to entertain the children. Naomi will be bringing poi for all to have a go at. Further into the grounds you can follow the fairy Glen trail however it is not suitable for prams and does have steep drops so step with care. For those with prams you can easily access all other areas and I am sure the play park ,sandpit and healing garden will be enjoyed by all. Make sure also to visit the story yurt where various people will be telling their tales throughout the day. x
